The World of

Luxana

Luxana is a realm shaped by balance.

Two continents, one ruled by darkness and one ruled by light.

The kingdoms within Luxana are each blessed by one of the ancient Sovereigns. They stand together beneath the same sky, yet no two are alike. Snow-covered mountains give way to emerald forests, golden plains rise into towering cliffs, and sunlit coastlines fade into lands where darkness lingers.

For centuries, trade, alliances and rivalries have bound the kingdoms together, while old wounds and forgotten secrets continue to shape their future. Every city, every castle and every sacred place carries echoes of the magic that first brought Luxana to life, creating a world where history is woven into the landscape itself.

To those who know its history, it is a realm balanced on the edge of destiny, where the choices of a few will determine the fate of all.

Esmeray

The Kingdom of Shadows

Beyond towering mountains lies Esmeray, a kingdom cloaked in perpetual twilight. Dense forests, black stone cliffs and mist-covered valleys create a landscape of haunting beauty where moonlight often shines brighter than the sun.

Rivers disappear beneath ancient caverns, and forgotten fortresses stand as silent reminders of a darker past.

To outsiders, Esmeray is a land of fear and mystery, yet its history is far more complex than legend suggests. Once a kingdom of balance like the others, centuries of corruption and forbidden magic transformed it into a place where ambition eclipsed compassion. Its people have learned to survive beneath watchful eyes, where trust is rare and power is everything.

Despite its darkness, Esmeray remains an essential part of Luxana. Its existence serves as a reminder that balance cannot exist by embracing only the light. Every shadow is cast by something brighter, and the fate of the realm has always depended upon both.

Nilsine

The Wasteland

Nilsine is the forgotten wasteland of Luxana, a vast expanse of cracked earth, blackened stone and lifeless plains where almost nothing grows. Ancient mountains line the horizon, dried riverbeds carve through the barren landscape, and a permanent haze leaves the land cloaked in muted shades of grey and ochre. The days are unforgivingly hot, the nights bitterly cold, and an unnatural silence hangs over the land, broken only by the wind sweeping across empty ruins.

According to ancient legend, Nilsine was once a thriving realm until the First Sundering shattered the balance between Light and Shadow. The violent clash scarred the land beyond repair, leaving its magic fractured and unstable. Water rarely lingers, vegetation struggles to survive, and travellers speak of whispers carried on the wind echoes of a forgotten age that refuse to fade.

Despite its desolation, Nilsine is far from empty. Nomadic clans survive by guarding hidden springs and ancient paths, while creatures twisted by unstable magic roam the wasteland. Beneath its shifting sands lie the ruins of lost civilisations and relics from the Age of Sovereigns, making Nilsine both a warning of what happens when balance is broken and one of the greatest repositories of forgotten history in all of Luxana.

Sylanna

The Kingdom of Light

Sylvanna is the radiant heart of Luxana, a kingdom where light is revered as both a gift and a guide. Rolling plains and gentle rivers stretch towards a skyline of soaring white stone towers, glittering glass domes and graceful spires that shimmer from dawn until dusk. Rather than fortresses built for war, Sylvanna's cities were designed to celebrate the sun, their vast crystal windows, vaulted galleries and elegant bridges filling every street and courtyard with warmth and colour.

At the centre of the kingdom stands the Palace of Light, a magnificent castle overlooking the capital from a gentle rise above the city. Inspired by the timeless grandeur of Prague and Vienna, its marble façades, intricate Gothic arches and immense glass halls create a breathtaking silhouette unlike anywhere else in Luxana.

Sylvanna has long been regarded as the cultural heart of the continent, where architecture, art and knowledge are treasured as highly as strength. Every avenue, fountain and cathedral reflects a belief that beauty inspires hope and that light should be shared rather than hidden. Visitors often describe their first glimpse of the capital as unforgettable a city that seems to shine from within, standing as a symbol of prosperity, wisdom and the enduring balance that has shaped Luxana for centuries.

Nereus

The Kingdom of Water

Nereus is a kingdom shaped by water magic. White limestone cities rise from rugged coastlines, their terraces tumbling towards brilliant turquoise waters where merchant ships, fishing vessels and elegant pleasure craft crowd bustling harbours. The air carries the scent of salt and citrus, while the rhythmic crash of waves forms a constant backdrop to daily life. Life here flows with the tides, and its people are renowned for their warmth, hospitality and deep respect for tradition.

The kingdom's prosperity comes from its strategic ports and thriving maritime trade. Markets overflow with fresh seafood, exotic spices, fine silks and treasures gathered from across Luxana. Music fills open plazas as festivals celebrate the changing seasons, while sailors share stories beneath lantern-lit taverns overlooking the sea. Although Nereus appears peaceful, its merchants and noble houses compete constantly for influence, making politics as fluid as the ocean itself.

The capital city of Otsana is the jewel of the kingdom. Built into dramatic coastal cliffs, its winding streets, whitewashed villas and blue-domed rooftops overlook sparkling bays filled with luxury yachts and fishing boats alike. Hidden courtyards, ancient libraries and secluded sea caves lie beyond its busy avenues, revealing layers of history beneath its vibrant surface. Otsana embodies everything Nereus values beauty, freedom, knowledge and the enduring pull of the sea.
